A hypergravity laboratory platform

The NSF NHERI funded Center for Geotechnical Modeling at UC Davis comprises 1m- and 9m-radius centrifuges and ancillary equipment that allow researchers to perform experiments in a hypergravity field of up to 80g. Prior results include seminal contributions to design of civil infrastructure systems. This poster will provide a brief overview of the facility, show examples of past contributions, highlight envisioned future opportunities, and summarize how any researcher can access the facility.
