The 2017 Large Facilities Workshop was held from May 1-3 at the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) in Livingston, LA, and Baton Rouge, LA. It provided attendees an opportunity to learn about NSF oversite changes, share best practices and discuss new initiatives in the Large Facilities Community. Attendees also were able to take an in-depth, behind-the-scenes tour of LIGO and watch the staff conduct routine maintenance on the Advanced LIGO detector and facility.
