The U.S. National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Research Infrastructure Office (RIO) will host the 2025 Research Infrastructure Workshop from March 18 – 21, 2025, in Los Angeles, California. The 2025 Workshop is co-hosted by The Aerospace Corporation, a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC), and The California Institute of Technology (Caltech). This hybrid workshop will offer in-person and virtual attendance options. In-person attendees will have the option to attend tours at the co-host facilities.
The Research Infrastructure Workshop is designed to provide a collaborative forum for the Research Infrastructure community to share best practices and lessons learned, collect community input on new initiatives, and share project, operations, and business tools and techniques.
This workshop is designed for all Research Infrastructure professionals including facility and operations managers, program and project managers, and other business and operations professionals involved with managing and overseeing Major Facilities and Mid-scale Research Infrastructure. We also welcome attendance and participation from other federal agencies.
Registration Fees
In-Person: The fee to attend the workshop in person for all four days is $925. This fee includes breakfast, lunch, regular refreshments, a tour (including transportation), and attendance at the workshop reception.
In-Person, Limited Attendance: Attendees who can only attend in person for one or two days can purchase a limited attendance ticket for a fee of $231 or $462, respectively. During registration, you will be prompted to indicate which days you plan to attend in person. The ticket includes virtual access to the workshop for the remaining days.

If you are interested in presenting a poster at the workshop, please indicate this during the registration process.
Posters will also be featured on the NSF Research Infrastructure Knowledge Gateway for future reference.
