Facility Performance Metrics
Performance metrics are more than a scorecard. Properly implemented, they can inform decisions on how best to keep research infrastructure on the forefront of the scientific endeavor. The session included discussions on examples of operational performance metrics that can be used to describe facility outputs and outcomes, track operational performance (uptime), track operations and maintenance costs, and support budget requests for facility sustainment and improvement.
Presented on May 1st at the 2018 Large Facilities Workshop.
